Suzanne successfully applied for funding, allowing for kitesports to be delivered into the schools in the Oadby and Wigston Partnership. The funding was obtained through the 'Big Lottery' Fund. Over 25 Schools within her partnership are now enjoying Kitesports as an after school activity. She has been working very closely with the local community kite club (Midland Kite flyers) in order to deliver this initiative. In recognition of the success of the project the partnership has been put forward to be considered for the prestigious 'Schools Sport Partnership' Award.
The Youth Sport Trust has also shown great interest in the Kitesports in Schools initiative this is a really exciting prospect that could make a big difference in the future.
