| Kitesports in schools welcomes the opportunity for community kite clubs to help local primary & secondary schools. We request that you work in conjunction with the local School Sports Partnership as they will be able to coordinate the schools in their partnership. If your local School Sports Partnership Manager has not heard of the 'Kitesportsinschools' initiative, please direct them to this site.
Please Note: anyone delivering training into schools (i.e. acting as a kitesport coach) needs to have obtained the appropriate CRB checks. It is also very important that they know how to teach 'kitesports' safety and correctly. This ensures that the students have the best possible experience.
Being part of the initiative will help raise the profile of your club and help you recruit new members as well as give something back to your local community. Please consult the contacts section on this website for information on Training, Club advice and also Funding. Your club initiative to teach kitesports in schools may qualify for a grant to allow schools to purchase kites and help cover your costs in teaching. |
